Thank you for your welcome via e-mail. I am looking for software for my
wife. She is the gardener in the family while my job is to till the soil.
She would like to find a landscaping program that would allow us to draw
our house and then plan the landscaping. Any ideas would be helpful.

I'd like to know what such a program is capable of (like compared
to the Megabuck ones that work on a AutoCad platform for instance). Could
you let me know what you find out or already know?

Phil – I just wrote a software review article for National Gardening
Magazine that will be in the March issue, reviewing more than 20 different
garden-related programs. I think they'll be uploading it to a library on
this forum soon. If not, check the March issue. What specifically are you
looking for, and for what type computer?

I would be very interested in the article in the National Gardening
magazine, However I live in Ont., Canada and have never seen it. Do you
have an address/ phone number so I can subscribe ? I am interested in being
able to draw our house and position shrubs, trees, etc to obtain the
desired results. We have purchased a house on 1.5 acres with mature trees
and shrubs, however many of the shrubs are far to large and some of the
trees (Walnuts) are going to become firewood. Hardware is not a problem as
I am the IS manager for a good size manufacturing company. The computer I
use is a Compaq SLT 386s/20 laptop. I also have a VGA monitor and a HP
Laserjet IIP. Phil

to see a new subscriber. It's a GREAT magazine (I'd say that even if I
didn't get to write for it once in a while), a bimonthly. It's $24/year

Burlington, VT).
You might like LandDesigner. $89 (plus you can buy additional plant
libraries for specific areas). Contact Green Thumb Software, P.O. Box
