HI! Thought I'd drop a line and introduce myself. Some folks out there may have already talked to me over on the Good Earth forum. I am a resident of New Jersey and last summer for the first time in 15 years I had someplace to grow a garden and grow one I did. I have 4, 11 foot by 4 foot raised beds that I constructed by stacking 6×6 timbers into "coffins" and putting enriched topsoil into them. I am avidly interested in organic gardening techniques as best as I understand them, and a longtime STAUNCH believer in composting. Currently my compost complex consists of 3, 3'x3'x3' bins that I use in rotation. My herb garden is currently 4' x 8' in a lopsided semicircle and WILL be expanded this spring, as much as time permits. If I listed the herbs that grew in there last summer I would soon exceed maximum message allowances! Looking forward to swapping ideas and my very next message I'm looking for some advice from the more experienced folks in the crowd…. Peter L. Berghold

I am going to go out and take inventory this weekend of the perennials that should winter over and send the list. Mainly so I know what I have for seed swap later…
