My name is Roger Post
I live in Bloomingdale Michigan which is about 25 miles east of lake
michigan and 25 miles west of Kalamazoo.
It is in the snow belt from Lake Michigan. When I moved here the winter
used to get down to -20 but of late 0 seems to be as cold as it gets. It is
in the blueberry country.
I used to have quite a large garden but do not have one any more. I do have
a small garden and some flowers.
I am interested in hydroponics to some extent and do have a number (not a
great number) of plants in the house. (I live in a mobile home) and keep my
heat durned down when I am not at home. Many plants seem to need more heat
and light than I supply.
I was a member of Good earth but did not spend much time there especially
in the winter.
Hi! Name here is Ed… my folks moved up to Paw Paw, which is about 17
miles west of L KALAMAZOO, so I know what you've got, especially the
blueberries.
RE: Temperaturre Once they're through germinating, most plants can
handle a range of temperature changes, but it is the SOIL temperature you
want to try to keep optimum for the plants when you're not at home (Much
cheaper than heating the whole place too!!).

I knew that I could improve germination by warming the soil but did not
know the plant needed warm soil as well.
Now how do I do it
Pap Paw is about 10 miles from here.
