Bought a Sony 1302 monitor. Have connecting cable from Redmond Cable. The monitor works with Amy2000 but the image on the screen is too small top to bottom and side to side. The picture is about 60% of normal. Does anyone know how to cure this or am I doomed forever to teenciness? ! Jon Byk/LA

Joh, I believe there is an adjustment for height and width on the 1302, just adjust both until you get a full sized picture. Don

Thank you, Don, for your prompt reply, however I've tried that: the vertical control brings the picture almost to full screen but t horizontal control does not increase the width of the picture. It will only decrease it. Thereby, with the height expanded and the width constant, the aspect ratio is wrong and the image is distorted! Alas. Alas! Jon Byk/LA

Jon, Check and see if there are switches for Analog vs. Digital video and play with those, as well as the hor-ver positioning indicaters. -John

Thank you John, for your suggestion. There are 2 slide switches: digital/analog and 2 other 2 position toggles. I've tried them every witchway and every waywitch: I still don't get no satisfaction! I toted the monitor back to where I bought it. It performed dissapointingly well. Oh well…. Jon Byk/LA

Jon, "It performed dissapointingly well." on their Amiga? Everything else the same, cable, etc.? hmmm. -John

If what John suggested doesn't work, take the monitor in for a look see with another Amiga (or just to a service shop)…it should display almost full width (there will be some border area). Don

Thank you for your reply. By the way, you are famous! I have been reading about you in Amiga mags! I've already tried my new Sony 1302 Monitor with my old 1000. Same results as with my new 2000. ..sixty percent of normal live image. I also lugged it to 1st Computer/WLA where I bought it. Unfortunately, it worked great. Small dots, small picture! Any other thoughts? Jon Byk/LA

Jon, Humm…small picture on both machines…almost sounds if you have a power line problem in your residence. How do your TV's work? If they look ok, try moving the computer/monitor to a position where you can plug them into the same circuit as your TV (just temporairly) and see if that makes any difference. Me…famous? What'd I do now…or did you get a copy of the new Amiga Transactor? Don
