Final Copy version 1.3's major revision is that the appearance of the fonts on-screen has been GREATLY improved. The honestly look 100% better now. The changes to V1.3 were more of an enhancement than a bug-fix, so we're asking registered users to send in $4.00 if they want the upgrade, this will cover cost of materials and postage. If you are at all disappointed with version 1.0-1.2's screen readablility, we strongly recommend getting version 1.3, the difference is day & night. Pat Brouillette SoftWood, Inc.

I have been looking at Proper Grammer and in the ad in Amigaworld, it says that Proper Grammer can import and export wordperfect (along other word processors). Why can't Final Copy also do the same. I want to find an alternative to WP, but my wife has to have the ability to work with WP. She works at home and turns in WP files to work.

Final Copy can import WordPerfect documents, but not export them. If we get enough requests for this feature, we may do it.

Count me in on requesting that feature. Other features I would like: o Pre rendered fonts for those of us still using 7.14 MHz machines. screen update is just too slow otherwise. o Faster screen response. o Footnotes and Endnotes would be nice. (No "you can do that with macros" nonsense, please. I want to be able to write college- level papers & footnotes are a must in some situations.) o Ability to CHANGE the headers and footers on page 5 without also changing them on pages 1-4. (see how WordPerverse 5.x does it.) o Abilityto change the # of columns on a page without is reformatting the whole document. Just a few thoughts. Using a 24-pin dot matrix, the differences between your progr program's output and Prowrite's are almost invisible. And the slow response is the same thing that made me dump Excellence in favor of prowrite in spite of Excresence's better showing on the "features" checklist. Brian

RE: Final copy exporting WP files: I request it too. 😉 Then I could transfer my Final Copy documents back and forth with MS Word for Windows on the PC. (Which will read WP4.1 documents using the Word for Word add-on.) Another request: Please add bold and italic selections that will just select the current font in bold or italic, so adding styles will be as easy as with other word processors. And also reading of bold and italic when importing. (Just switch the font when hitting one of those styles.)

I did a Pro Page formatted text to Rich Text Format (RTF) translator once upon a time, I used it to help move some of our old documentation over to the Mac and PC. Interested?

John, Thanks, but I need to move data in BOTH directions. I do 90% of my work on Amigas, then send it over to the PC.

Will Final Copy scroll as you type at the right border in the new release? Bob

FC 1.3 currently will not scroll to the right as you type.

Final Copy sounds great, to whom do I send my $4.00? Do I need to mark the envelope somehow? Will you be sending out notices to registered users? Questions, questions, questions! 🙂 Later, Bill – via Whap!

What about those of us who just bought — from our dealers — v1.1? At least that's what the "about" requester says…. So new — to me — that I haven't yet sent in the reg card…. Brian
