Hello,
I am new here to this forum, and actually am not as experienced as the most
of you sound although I have been successful in what I have grown so far
and really enjoy working with what I do have.
I recently have thought about attempting to grow a few dwarf cictrus trees
and am interested in naval oranges, grapefruit, lemons, and possibly
tangelos <–spelling?
Does anyone have any information on this, and can they be grown in
containers. I live in Southern California having just moved here from the
midwest so I really do not know what I am doing with this.

Jerry, having been through the same transition, let me recommend a very
important guide I wish someone had told me about: Sunset's "New Western
Garden Book." It has detailed information about citrus varieties, and
many other things that will save you a lot of wasted effort and money,
trying to grow borderline items for the zillion little microclimates that
result from the confluence of ocean, mountains, latitude, wind, water
currents, etc.. Not like the Midwest.
