ImageFinder Upgrade

Didn't you start Zardoz software when you left Manx, or do I have you
confused with someone else? If so ignore the following…
Anyway I have ImageFinder and I was told when I called Zardoz that there
would be an upgrade sent out at the beginning of the year to fix the hard
disk trashing problems with the automatic update feature. I have never
received anything. Was it ever released?
Sounds like you meant Jim Goodnow. I don't think Mike is associated with
Zardoz. (Name taken from "wiZARD of OZ", of course.)
Or maybe Zardoz comes from the movie of the same name, starring Sean
Connery?
I phoned them around New Year's and they said the upgrade would be
another two months or so. I wouldn't sweat it: an upgrade is definitely on
the way and not a moment too soon, in my book: my Image Finder has been
sitting idle since it can't handle Imagine-created IFF24's correctly, and
that's my main reason for buying the program.
Blaq!
I vaguely remember talking to JG's wife, and her saying the name was from
the Wizard of Oz. By the way, her name's Dorothy……8-) 😎

MIke,
If you recall from the Sean Connery movie, the "secret" was actually tied
to the book, Wizard of Oz. If I recall correctly (been nearly 16 years
since I saw it) there was a scene where he discovered books and the WIzard
of Oz was of particular interest to his situation. But that is about all
(except for the flying head) that I remember.

I used "ZOTS" as a big secret password which caused a particular system to
do some special things automatically. It was from the movie of the same
name starring Tom Poston of B the Bob Newhart show # 2 fame. Harry
Manolopoulos
Actually, what happened with him? I haven't seen much from that direction in
a long time..
I don't know… I think I heard from a friend of a friend that neither
Goodnow nor the Amiga Live people (his neighbors) were harmed in the fires
that swept the Oakland hills.
I recall someone at Manx saying Jim moved from Oakland to another location
in CA. Can't recall exactly where, though…

Nope, that was Jim Goodnow.
