I seem to be unable to get PgS to recognise the CS fonts! I get everything
else, but not the CS fonts. Mike are you out there???? I have recopied all
of the files over and replaced the fontsequiv… etc. I removed all fonts
from the manager and updated with ONLY the cs fonts and there are still noe
recognised. I am using the same setup that I had under 2.1 in my paths and
the dirs are set up the same way as before when they worked just fine.
Thanks for any help.
You MUST add the PLUGIN.TYPEBUCKET and FONTSSv2 and FONTEQUIVv2 files for
CS fonts to work. If they're in the PSFONTS path, add that path. If they
are elsewhere, add the applicable path(s). By adding them, I mean add the
path,m
not the file. To do this, click on ADD, and a file requester will open.
Select the path in which the file(s) is located. Do NOT select the file.
(In 2.1 this was legal but it got changed in 2.2.) If you select the file,
the path will not be added. So the file text gadget should be empty. Now
click on OK and it should be added.
Now check your CS font paths. Click on the Times drawer and see what shows
up in the right requester. If the font files are shown then they are added.
Note that the typebucket, fontss and fontequiv files do not show up in the
right requester. This confuses user and will probably be changed in the
future.

Mike, I tried what you said.. here is the way I have my stuff configed:
hd0:pagestream/psfonts – this has ALL the fontfiles and plugin.typebuckets,
etc in it in various directories. I ADD the path for the PSFONTS drawer by
clicking on the dir and I get the whole line above. hd0:pagestream etc.
When I am in mananger, I see the path.. if I click nothing shows, so I ADD
CSTIMES and the right window of the requestor show the font files. I exit
the manager and go to select the font and I don't see CSTIMES anywhere. I
have tried this many different ways with no luck. I can get ANY other font
file to work except the CS ones. According to what you indicate, I SHOULD
be getting them with that line dh0:PAgestream/psfonts ADDED to my manager.
I have even just added the PSFONTS without success. The path set up in my
set/save paths for fonts is PSFONTS and that is what comes up when I access
the MANAGER.. still no CS fonts???? Thanks for your time..
Joe:
PgS will no longer show you the 'CS' in front of a <CSfontname>. It will
come up as TIMES, not CSTimes, and TRIUMVIRATE, not CSTriumvirate

I am getting a TYMES but not a TIMES. It isn't the same font either. I have
[A a lot of fonts and the stuff isn't there!
Joe:
Then something is amiss… probably in the setup. Somehow I must have
managed to get everything installed correctly when I did it on the first
try because Triumvirate and Times are both in my fonts menu. Others, like
yourself have had problems getting the paths set up right.
Verify that you have the CSTimes and CSTriumvirate directories in your
PSFonts directory (you did copy the new CSTimes & CSTriumvirate files from
the installation disk, yes?)
Select Set/Save paths and choose the Font Manager gadget. When the
requestor opens, select PSFonts/CSTimes and then click on UPDATE. Now do
the same thing for CSTriumvirate and then Garamond. Then select PSFonts
(it's on a line by itself: PSFonts) and then click on UPDATE. Now click on
SAVE DEFAULT. That's it. This procedure is outlined on page 3 of the 2.2
manual addendum, and as I said, it worked fine for me.
I hope you can get it up & running… good-luck.
