I am not an expert at perusing the libraries here, so in case someone knows, are Flex and/or Bison, the Lexx & Yacc workalikes from the free software foundation, available here? Or is there something similar on a Fred fish disk anywhere? Also, I am also interested in Kermit, from Columbia university if this happens to be around. -Jay Pedersen

Jay, Bison I remember seeing, but that was in the olden days. Same thing as Flex. Try this; go to lib 1, then DIR DES KEY:YAC* lib:all, DIR DES KEY:LEX* lib:all. As for kermit, that's in the source to ATERM, ATSRC.ARC here, C programming lib. It's not the latest, understand. 8) There's also some XPR-type stuff for Kermit floating around. Most likely, by the time this reached you, one of the Sysops or a member with current lib listings will have pointed the way to the files of interest. In the event that this is not so, I can merely tell you about what I'd do and direct you as best my failing memory allows. I am updating my listings bit by bit (something I heartily recommend. Open a Capture file, and DIR DES *.* LIB:<lib#> for interesting libraries. There's some surprises and a wealth of information buried there) I'm sorry I couldn't be more exact; I just hope this gets you what you're looking for. Hope this helps, Doug

Jay, Look for these in AMigaTech: In Library 10: FLEX.ARC 10 169K 05-02-89 FLEX (Unix program) ported to the Amiga, w/src BISON.ARC 10 141K 11-12-87 BISON, a UNIX YACC like parser generator program FLEX23.LZH 10 430K 12-14-90 Lexical analyzer, the Unix LEX, V. 2.3 You will find find a number of terminal programs in Library 5 of AMigaUser that support Kermit. I found these: AKER47.ARC 5 284K 09-19-88 CKermit – executable and source. XPRKER.LZH 5 61K 08-25-90 Beta Version of the XPR Kermit Protocol XPRKRM.ZOO 5 80K 01-30-90 Kermit module for XPR Let us know if you need further help. Betty
