We manufacture an excellent SCSI host adapter for the A1000 with a fully
buffered bus pass-through for connecting other expansion devices. Call us at
1-800-727-8772 and we can steer you towards a local dealer or send you
information.

This drive is an ST225 hard disk by seagate do you make a controller for this
type of drive (20 Mb) for the 1000A.
Thanks for you input.

I don't know about the ST225 but I've successfully set up a Seagate 277N with
Supra's controller — works great.

Our software works well with the 225. If it is not an "N" ( embedded SCSI) you
will need an appropriate SCSI controller. We support both the OMTI 3520/3527
and the Adaptec 4000/4070 contollers.

Which controller do you suggest for the 225 seagate dre I believe this is not a
SCSI Drive. Richard
I would probably suggest the Adaptec 4070 controller. this controller will
support the MFM encoding that you need for the ST225 and also supports RLL
encoding incase you want to change to a bigger, faster drive in the future.
The OMTI 3527 is a much faster controller, but only supports RLL format – which
your 225 will not work with reliably.
