Dave, Possible causes of your problems, in order of likelyhood: 1) Your VRAM's ROM is flaking out 2) You have a memory conflict at segment address A000H (which is where the fonts get loaded). 3) Your VGA is flaking out 4) Your monitor is flaking out 5) You have a new, unknown, virus 6) The constellations are just not in your favor this week <g> Jake

Hi, Jake. This particular VRAM is going back anyway. It IS brand new, FWIW. A reboot cleared the extra pixels problem, but it's since come back a couple of times. I *hope* it's the card; the monitor is *just* out of warranty. Dave

Dave: If the pixels are consistant with reference to each character, then the problem is in the graphics card. Actually, a failing monitor will never generate random pixels. Evan

Evan – Speaking of monitors, in your review in CADalyst, a comment suggests that the Mitsubishi monitor can be driven at resolutions up to 1600 x 1200. I was just curious…. Is this an observation based purely in theory, or have you actually been able to drive the display at that resolution? Inquiring minds (with 4 of these displays, and four more on the way) would like to know. -TonyT.

Tony: OK – I didn't run it. My Artist XJS was out of the office at the time. But I have run other monitors at 1600×1200, and have total confidence that the Diamond Pro 20 will do it all day long. Evan

Evan – Fine, I'll take your word for it. -TonyT.
