#Hidden-line plots
3 messages in this thread
Craig,
Thanks for your response to my problem of hidden line removal when
plotting. Craig, when the students issue the plot command with the hidden
line removal option answered yes, I understand that it takes the
plotter/computer time to process the hidden vectors, but the plotter
doesn't move and the command prompt says plot finished return to continue.
We never problem with release 10, I am wondering if it might be a software
problem or if anyone out there might be experiencing the same problem.
Once againg thanks for trying to help.

Well, that certainly answers that one with a resounding duh! <wide grin>.
You don't have the thing plotting model space when you have a paper space
viewport set up, do you?

Steve,
Are you by chance using paperspace for plotting? If so, you should do
the hide using the mview hideplot option in the drawing editor rather than
the hide option in the plot menu. I have seen this behavior, in my case it
would plot the border that was in paperspace, but not the mviews, it seems as
if the plot-gods think that the "window" into the mview is solid, and thus
hides the modelspace objects.
