#Hidden-line plots

Craig, Thanks for your response to my problem of hidden line removal when plotting. Craig, when the students issue the plot command with the hidden line removal option answered yes, I understand that it takes the plotter/computer time to process the hidden vectors, but the plotter doesn't move and the command prompt says plot finished return to continue. We never problem with release 10, I am wondering if it might be a software problem or if anyone out there might be experiencing the same problem. Once againg thanks for trying to help. Steve

Steve: Well, that certainly answers that one with a resounding duh! <wide grin>. You don't have the thing plotting model space when you have a paper space viewport set up, do you? C#

Steve, Are you by chance using paperspace for plotting? If so, you should do the hide using the mview hideplot option in the drawing editor rather than the hide option in the plot menu. I have seen this behavior, in my case it would plot the border that was in paperspace, but not the mviews, it seems as if the plot-gods think that the "window" into the mview is solid, and thus hides the modelspace objects.
