P/exit Hi, we are german AutoCAD R11 developers, and new in Compuserve.
We use the Metaware High-C Compiler for DOS, and try to use also High-C on
the SUN Sparc. Our problem is that the ads-lib is compiled with the
standard CC. If we try to link our obj from the High-C, the ads-lib and
starndard CC-lib, we get an ERROR. The problem is, that the CC-lib (non
ANSI) and the High-C-lib (ansi) is not compatible. How can help us to get
the ads-lib for the High-C. Or is there an part of these puzzle that we
lost ?
Sorry for the gramma.

Siegemund – The ADS libraries are compiled for each compiler and platform
environment. The Sparc libraries won't work with the Metaware compiler.
The Metaware ADS libraries ship in the ADS sub-directory of a standard
AutoCAD 386 installation; so, in order to compile an ADS application on DOS
386, you'll need a copy of AutoCAD 386.
I hope I've got the right answer for you.
Brad – No, he's using MetaWare's compiler for the Sparc. They have one; we
even used to use it to compile AutoCAD. But we don't anymore, and the
ads.a library we ship for the Sparc doesn't either. On the Unix platforms,
the ADS library we supply is generally for the "native" C compiler, and
MetaWare's is not the "native" C compiler in the Sun Unix environment.
Duff – Aha. Thanks for the correction.
