I just upgraded to DOS5 and now my version of extensions doesn't seem to work. It says "Incorrect DOS version" when I run it. I had MSCDEX 2.2 which I though was the latest version. Is a later version of extensions available around here that will work with DOS5? Thanks in advance for any information anyone can give me. – Adam

Adam, Place DEVICE=SETVER.EXE in your CONFIG.SYS file. Check your DOS manual for details on SETVER Frank

Yes, get MSCDEX 2.21 from Microsoft. Works without that cumbersome SET VER command.

Thanks Ernie. Is that available on CIS at all? Or does Microsoft charge for it? – Adam

It used to be available on CIS until about a week ago I believe… Microsoft does not charge for it. Unfortunately, I don't have their BBS number handy.

Adam, you can find the MS BBS phone number and other info on MSCDEX versions in LASER2.TXT in Lib #4. Good luck! Kevin–
