MY ATTEMPTS TO USE B.A.D. TO OPTIMIZE MY HD ARE STOPPED BY A MESSAGE THAT SAYS BLOCK 42570 IS POINTED AT BY SECTOR 42120 AND SECTOR 42569. HOW CAN I FIX THIS?-ANTHONY

Anthony, Without going into the details of the filesystem…you really can't fix it. Your only real options are: Backup, reformat and restore Don
