Wanted: Plundered Hearts
11 messages in this thread
Hi folks!
What with my husband playing 20+ games now that the Lost Treasures
of Infocom has been released, I am heartsick for Plundered Heart, an
Infocom game I played on my old C64. I would like to get me hands on the
game for my Amiga. It must be an original, of course, and include
documentation. If you have Plundered Heart collecting dust on your
computer shelf, why not give it to someone who would appreciate it and make
a little money on the side, too? 🙂 Please send me email if interested!
Thanks!

Beth,
<sudden burst of adrenalin> What's this about the Lost Treasures of
Infocom being released???
Blaq!
It's true. I held a copy of it in my hands yesterday at the local software
store.
Steve
What kind of price did you see?
I *think* it was about 60 bucks….quite a good deal, considering the
amount of software you get. I bet it would take a LOOONG time to finish
all those games!

Charles –
Yes, The Lost Treasures of Infocom includes about 20 of the top Infocom
games for about $60. It includes full intructions books and all the info
from the hint books and the maps for the games, too. Unfortunately, it
doesn't include the fun trinkets you'd get with each game. Sadly, I've
only seen the collection for IBM and Mac – I haven't seen it for Amiga.

Beth, My dealer has the Amiga version in stock. If you look around, you'll
find it.

Steve,
even better!!! The Amiga version! I didn't think there would _be_ one.
Now, of course, comes the big question… which version do I buy? If I
buy the Amiga version, I'll never get around to it. With multitasking, I'm
always busy doing something while my Amiga works on something else — e.g.
while it's raytracing, I'll read the latest CompuServe messages. If I buy
the IBM version, I can play at the office — but then I'll start playing
too much and get fired. Decisions, decisions…
Blaq!
What decision? Get fired. Then you'll have more time for ray-tracing AND
playing…. ofcourse then you wouldn't have the work PC to use, so be sure
to buy BOTH versions 🙂

Beth,
thank you for the information! Even though I'm an avid computer magazine
reader, it could've been months before I stubmled onto a mention of The
Lost Treasures Of Infocom, if ever. I'll give EA a call, just to check that
they haven't produced an Amiga version, and rush out and buy the PC
version. Thanks again.
Blaq!
Lost Treasures of Infocom retails at 69.95…and <IS> out for the Amiga. 20
games included, including all the Zorks, Enchanter series, several of the
mysteries, *HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE*, and more…
It's 3000 and 2.04 compatible, and multi-tasks on the Workbench. It waits
for you to type…these <ARE> multi-tasking games. Just go away and do
something else when you get stuck!
I'm REALLY impressed that they got this package RIGHT.
