On my model RP4 is definately mounted (fortunately i decided i was
going to check further before i pulled harder). That does jive with
the table you posted. I still haven't been able to pick up a 50-50
scsi cable so haven't yet put the new system together. Actually, I'm
moving the whole enclosure to a server system. I'm still not sure
which unit gets stuck out on the end but needed to verify what the
terminator status was in any case.

It doesn't really matter which device you hang on the end just as long as the
termination is only on it.

It does if you don't want cables running all over the place and if the
final one needs powered terminators and isn't likely to be on most of the
time. I really see no need to keep the QIC on as it doesn't get used that
much. Plus you've got to contend with the conversion cables from the
amiga 25 pin to 50 etc.
