I have ordered the AmigaDos Manual and the other Amiga manuals from the store where I bought my computer. They said that each manual is about $40 each. Today at a bookstore they had the AmigaDOS Manual published by Bantam Books for $24.95. Is there any difference between them?

Marlene, the Bantam Amigados manual contains the same info as the three CBM manuals. No difference.

The original manuals that pertained to AmigaDOS appeared as a three volume set: Dos User's Guide, Dos Developer's Guide (assem and alink), and Dos Technical Reference. Suggested list for the three was $50.00. I believe Bantam has printed these as a single volume. Check the contents. $24.95 is more reasonable and I hope that this is the complete set rolled into one! Having the Bantam manual and the original manual set (came with the thing)… can assure you that the Bantam one IS all three (It's divided into three sections: User's Guide, Dos Developer's Guide, and Dos Technical manual. They didn't even bother to rename 'em!) The only editing that appears to have been done is in the legibility..the examples are rewritten, but the templates and syntax described is the same.
