#FORTH FOR AMIGA

There are several Forths out there, including at least two public domain
versions. The two public domain versions are on the Fred Fish disks, one is
a stripped down Mountain View Press Forth (I hear they are selling a better
version) and a ported C-Forth. Commercial Forths include UBZ Forth, which is
reviewed in the third issue of Amazing Computing, soon to hit dealer shelves
everywhere. Well, not everywhere, but if your dealer calls Don Hicks at PIM
Publications, he'll get a box out right away. And back issues are available,
so ask for those, too. Amazing Computing has a writer who'll be covering the
Forths as they arrive on the software scene.
John I've got a copy of the commercial version of MVP and it's pretty bare
bones. It's reviewed in the first issue of Amiga Project which is being
shipped now. Creative Solutions has just started shipping ( see msg 14220 ).
There will be a review in the next issue of Amiga Project. BTW Amiga Project
has a Forth columnist ( me ). Bob Benedict
