#WyndWalker
7 messages in this thread
Is anyone aware of arcade style game called WyndWalker. I have been given a
copy and hae been told it is public domain. Is this true? The game is very
good in terms of graphics/sound but there is no documentation on disk so the
objective is rather obscure. Any help out there?

I have seen the game a few months ago at my dealer. Someone they know with
connections at C=/Amiga in Los Gatos was supposedly working on it for
commercial release. Its widespread free release in enthusiast circles seems to
have sabotaged that idea tho.
WyndWalker is (was) a Synapse product and is not public domain.

Ed, I also have heard that name in the context of a commercial program. You
should talk to the person you got it from, and spread the word that WyndWalker
is >probably< a commercial program or a prerelease copy of one. It's not
definite, but it would be wise not to spread it around (and you really ought to
delete your copy). Think of it as (possibly) spearing a hard-working
programmer in the back after all his hard work. … if it does turn out to PD,
this statement will look sort of silly… but I'd rather be on the safe side!
