Richard, I output .TGA's from a DesignJet 650C all the time. Personally, I
think you'd be very impressed. Most excellent. I would be happy to send you a
couple of sample images from 3D Studio for you to check out. Leave me an
address if you'd like a couple.

The output is good, but it is 256 colors. Don't think it will look like a
printed poster. But once it is set up properly…the images are really good.

I'm going to create a land plan illustration and send it out to some different
service bureaus to see what quality output I get and can live with.
What type device do you think offers the best image quality for targa
files, especially in large (D or E size) formats? I've got a pretty
nice image from a Rastergraphics electrostatic plotter, but I want to
send something out to an IRIS printer and see I get from that device.
