the capital building is available but it is the property of autodesk and
you have to ask them to put it on the system
Yes indeed, I even have to ask (even though I drew it) as it is company
property. I think we may be able to get a release of it, but we'll see. I
have many 3d drawing that are collecting dust, I plan to get the ok for as
many of them as possible.

What say, a small contest? Free access to this forum for two weeks or 2
hours free to CIS? Anyone interested? Let's sort out the details.
Heh heh. I've got *scads* of little 3D objects, except they were all
created on Amiga and Atari ST systems. Data is data, right? Can I still
enter the contest? I sell a program on the Amiga called InterChange that
converts 3D objects from one format to another, as well as tools that
operate on 3D objects. I've got a converter for AutoCAD format up and
working to some degree. I will be uploading some example pictures and 3D
objects in the next few weeks, perhaps contigent on things I learn at the
Chicago AutoDesk show. I've got rights to a fair number of 3D objects, I
also sell disks of premade 3D objects to animators and artists on the
Amiga. How about an animation of the AutoCAD robot arm, with hierarchical
motion, swinging around? TIE fighters? 3D space shuttles? Human figures?
Volkswagens?
A question about coloring these objects: I can support the minimal
eight-color settings described in the AutoCAD manuals, but what system of
coloring would work best in the most common AutoCAD setup? Is the mapping
from AutoCAD colors to ADI colors always implementation dependent?
I do animation using the Topas program from AT&T. I'd be interested in
purchasing a disk of 3-D objects in autocad .dxf files , can you supply
this on IBM DOS disks? I use the Cadverter from Mathematica to import the
files.

rate for 3D clipart disks for AutoCAD? Are there such things yet? I've seen
a lot of 2D libraries, but little 3D.
