IBM 8514/A GRAPHICS CARD

HAS ANYONE ENCOUNTERED ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE IBM HDIPCDOS DRIVER WHEN USING THE 8514 DISPLAY. WHEN EXITING AUTOCAD BACK TO TEXT MODE THE DISPLAY SEEMS TO DO STRANGE THINGS. PLEASE HELP TOM KALEY 76077,3233

Tom, try putting DEVICE=ANSI.SYS in your CONFIG.SYS file. That should fix it. (Don't forget to have the file ANSI.SYS present in your root directory.) =SM=

You must not have the memory expansion for the 8514? I read a note in the back of Cadalyst magazine that if you type the plot command, and when in plot press CTRL-C you will return to the proper graphics screen. It sounds like a real kludge but if it works it works… sly
