I'm a new user to AutoCAD, part way thru a course at a local junior college
in CAD, and I use a Hewlett Packard Laserjet 2 printer to print my
drawings.
If one wanted to get an 11 x 17" drawing, is there a better way to output
to a laser printer to achieve side-by-side 11 x 17 by windowing the
printer output into halfsies?
Some time ago a gentleman left a message about a program written in C that
might do the same thing, but in reading the manual and seeing the options,
I can't see why window printing wouldn't achieve the same thing.
I'm the guy who is working on the 11X17 on the laser printer and your
method of windowing halfsies in Autocad would do the same thing. What I
was after with this program is to take an already created plot PLT file
from any CAD program or spreadsheet and sending it to the laser from that
format. I am also looking into C, D and E size plots of PLT files on an
8.5X11 laser.
I had a hunch it would do the same…woke up in the night with the idea. But
the thread got me thinking.
