Hey, Ana, I don't know Painter NEARLY as well as you do (not by a mile, since you convinced me in this thread to buy it) but you can get the leaky pen effect by using the leaky pen brush (can't remember exactly what it's called, but I think you know what I mean). Now, please remember that I'm being tongue in cheek about all of this — I know you were merely curious about why Karen was having problems. I, too, have no idea why she couldn't get the Wacom to be smoothly responsive. Thanks to you I have one and it's so wonderful I could kick myself for never having gotten such a device before (and to THINK of all those hours I spent trying to draw with a mouse!).

Hey, Mike. I know that you can make your Painter brush to leak. In fact, I suspect that you can make any painter brush to sign and dance… <g> What I mean is that I don't experiment ink blots or leak if I'm working with a brush without that feature. ana /krazy images

Mike; Try using a SummaSketch FX instead. Coming soon at a dealer near you! Steve[Summa]

>Try using a SummaSketch FX instead. I'm sure they're all very good — I just enjoy my Wacom very much. However, I recommend EVERYONE get a pressure sensitive tablet — I just can't believe I lived for so long without one. The one they choose is up to them (I happened to get a good deal with Fractal and the tablet — tablet ended up costing me about $100). >Steve[Summa] Hey, are you MR. Summa? Actually, Steve Summa would be a cool name — something like from a fifties private eye series.

Mike: Could you divulge where you got the Fractal Painter/Wacom package deal? Is this a standard deal offered by most dealers? The kicker: How much is this package likely to set me back?

Robert – PMJI, but I saw a Wacom/Fractal bundle at my local Egghead last time I was in. They wanted $550 Cdn for it, which translates into about U$420. Dave

Dave: Thanks for the note on Fractal Painter. I'll check out Egghead this weekend. If Egghead has it bundled with the Wacom I guess it could be had via mail order as well? When are you getting back together with Tina, Jerry and Chris? Don't get me wrong I loved your solo stuff <g>.

Robert – Tim, Jerry and Chris? Forget it! Those bums are history. Watch out for some new work with Eric and Phil. Dave
