How bout an unedited transcript? I, unfortunately, got cut off twice and
thus cannot provide one as I had planned.
Btw, do you or anyone else know what the AT command to ignore CALL WAITING
signals is?

There is no AT command, but most phone companies turn it off if you dial
*70, so change your dialing command from "ATDT" to "ATDT*70," and that
should take care of you…

Paul, the command to disable call waiting varies some with different phone
companies. Ours is *70, but yours might be different. Best to check the
phone book as I did.

I use ATDT*70W. The 'W' means to wait for a dial tone. In our area it
is called Controlled Call Waiting.

I use the prefix *70. Using touch tone dialing here is the AT command:
ATDT*70,xxxnumber < note the comma is essential, it gives the pause
needed while the phone system provides the second dialtone.
In CA I discovered that to disable call waiting you had to pay extra for
that feature to be enabled. Here in Delaware it is included as part of the
service.
You can also find the information in your telephone book.
