Have you been following my "BIG problems w/3DS " thread, guys? What the heck is going on here? I've got $3000 worth of program that won't do anything but fall over and play dead right now – not too happy a camper!

Mike, >> I've got $3000 worth of program that won't do anything… << I'd be willing to work with you and take it from the top, till we figure out what the problem is. Give me a holler if you're interested. -JE

Thanks, John – it's been a pleasure seeing people "come to my rescue" that don't even know me from Adam's house cat! I think I've got a handle on it, but it not, I'll be the first to start squacking again!

Actually Adam's house cat did call in your regard. He said that you were working too many hours and that we should give you a hand if possible, so that you'd come home earlier and he'd get fed more frequently. <G> Where's Adam is what I want to know? -JE

I follow every thread in ASOFT, and I do whatever I can to help whenever I see something I can contribute to. I wish I could make everyone's hardware problems go away. Hardware is definitely the #1 headache in my life. – G

Thanks to you, as well, Gary. I think you're right in this case – see previous posts this afternoon. Bummer is that now I'm going to end up with two severed 486/66 machines, and will only be able to transport file "the old fashion way" until I get the drive problem(s) straightened out. Oh, what fun we have these days!

Tell me about it. Good luck with making the plastic, iron, and silicon all work together. It's a black art. – G

Oh, believe me, I know! I've been fighting the PC-based computers for 11 years now, and everyone loves to play "Stump the Rat" for a pasttime <g>… I've got it all licked, I do believe (well, except I'm sitting here with a Netware 3.11 server that apparently isn't catching write errors nor doing any "hot-fix" of bad blocks on a 1.5GB drive – bummer… More stuff to read up on – I've put in literally hundreds of Novell-based systems from one end of the spectrum to the other, and I've never run into anything like this (well, not with "SFT" turned on, anyway)! Thanks again…
