A couple of Questions

True that an FFS hard-disk doesn't need cache nearly as much as floppies,
or as OFS, but for many things caching still improves performance even with
FFS. On my 2620 card / FFS 2090 40Meg HD I've had make times cut by 50%
using BlitzDisk V2.0. Some other things are hardly effected. It will
depend a lot on what you're doing and what hardware you've got, but for
some people, BlitzDisk will save a lot of time even with FFS- …cheath
cheath, I just go a letter from you informing me about the TxEd+ 2.01 upgrade
and saying I should not use Blitzdisk on a FFS disk. Huh? Can I or can't I
use the Blitzdisk that came on my TxEd+ 2.00 disk? — Art
Art, to repeat for the 3rd time today – DON'T USE BLITZDISK WITH FFS until he
releases an update. As for txed2.01 it is available here on the amiga forums
if you are a registered owner and have the original disk.

Thanks for spreading the word, Ron. The FFS-compatible version of BlitzDisk
will be available shortly as patch file "BDFIX1.ARC", we' re in final stages of
testing now to insure that it will work with as many different vendor's hard
drives as we can verify. Please do NOT use the current version of BlitzDisk
with FFS until the new release of BlitzDisk is available-

I won't, I promise!!! Have you tried out the new one with any of the C-Ltd
setups yet?
Ron
I'll be testing BlitzDisk 2.0 with my CLTD controller soon. Now I've got it
running with the StarDrive on the A1000, and a 2090 on the A2000, with betaS ters running on various drives.

I'll remove it promptly. FYI I have been running Blitzdisk for a couple of
months on my 2090/st-251 setup with no problems. — Art
