Ah, now you started out on one point and ended on the oposite. I have no objection to a dedicated community of users/developers/etc. joining together for the common goal of furthering the Amiga—that idea is a good one. However, (see, I told you there is always a however) you end up by saying it is time to take matters into our own hands with Commodore. That is where the rub is. I am sure that Commodre would be glad to listen to a dedicated group—but anarchy (or something similar), I doubt it. Perhaps I misunderstood your original message, but the way I read it you wished to place people on the board of directors, start a proxy fight and in general attempt to run the company. Read my reply in this same thread to Jim Myer re the present discussion, that way I won't have to repeat it. BTW, if the Computer Factory isn't stocking Amiga software, that is not Commodore's fault–its Computer Factory's fault! The software is there and is available–they just have to order it!!! Not just from Commodore, but from all the present publishers who are selling Amiga software. My local dealers (several of them) have lots of software in stock, all kinds!

The Computer Factory is the PITS!!! Their attitude is uppity, they have no idea how good the Amiga is. You have to beg them to demo the machine and all of their stores in Manhattan and Long Island collectively have no more than 4 software pkgs for the Amiga. I agree it's the Computer Factory's fault – but I think perhaps C/A should re-examine some of their "chosen" dealers. By the way, on the promotional end – I may have convinced the people in my office to replace their dying LISA with an Amiga! Marlene

Perhaps C/A isn't aware of the problems with Computer Factory. They work thru a series of 16 regional Reps, and the Reps are supposed to report to C/A rather than C/A dealing directly with the dealers. BTW the Rep for NYC is (or was–it may have changed although I doubt it) Norman Yohay Assoc., 8 Bond St., Great Neck, NY 11021 ph 516-487-9640. Perhaps they can "pursuade" Computer Factory to get its act together.
