#CTX Monitor use
4 messages in this thread
Brian,
I called CTX at the 800 number given me by the Creative Computers
salesperson. Apparently, it is a 14" multiscan monitor. It is interlaced
at 1024 x 768 and noninterlaced at 640 x 480. Two cables come with it: 9
to 9 pin and 9 to 15 pin.
The tech indicated that it would meet those modes. What do you think
about the interlacing and noninterlacing?

Gayle,
it sounds fine to me. Mine also interlaces when I get up to 1024×768
and it hasn't been a problem. I generally stay down at 800×600 which is
non-interlaced on my cards and monitor. I'd say go for it.

what card and monitor are you using to get 800×600 non-interlace??
I ma searching for an inexpensive way to get a bigger screen for MIDI and
digital audio apps. I have simply run out of room!!

Bill,
I'm using the Retina. I do recommend you look at one of the other 24
bit cards that have RTG possible before considering the Retina. I love
it, but I can see the writing on the wall unless they figure out an
upgrade.
