Is the "STYMIE" tpeface included in the adobe type library. Or if not is there
an equivalent with square serifs and a extra bold face. We need this for a
company logo. If not I guess we could design the graphics but this would take
longer !! Any suggestions?

Stymie, to the best of my knowledge, hasn't been released. But you might try
looking at Memphis. It's got the Stymie feel, and it comes in 4 weights.

Thanks I will have a look at "Memphis" in my type atlas — Ted(edward)
About 6 months ago, I think, Kingsley/ATF Type Corp. sent me a flyer on what
was to be their initial PostScript type offerings. I never followed up the
announcement, but Stymie was on their list (as were Bodoni, Americana. Spartan,
Franklin Gothic and Cooper). Maybe the actually released Stymie. Their
address is:

Thanks I will contact them. -Ted
Kingsley/ATF released and then withdrew their fonts sometime in 1988. They
expect to be ready to release improved versions in March 1989 for MAC and June
1989 for IBM. Call 1-800-289-TYPE for literature. Ask for Cheryl.
Take a look also at Glypha, which is another "Egyptian" (square serif) face
found in the Adobe library. Unfortunately it isn't available in an extra-bold
or black weight.
Edward,
Adobe does not currently offer the Stymie typeface, however we do
offer a few square serifs that may meet your needs– ITC Lubalin Graph,
Glypha and Memphis. Give our Sales Support Representatives a call at
800-344-8335 to receive a brochure or catalog showing these faces.
