Kiki's the Newtek Babe. I imagine her job is mostly Promotions. She does all the Toaster demos at the shows. I'd say she's a millionaire babe also, shes been the whole ride with Newtek. ….John

She's the female body in the 'sexy' Toaster transitions, among other things…

Kiki is a very attractive girl who has done most of the demos of the Toaster at various shows. —Betty

Bruce, From my age perspective, anyone under 45 is a girl, or boy, as the case might be. And in a few more years, that will probably rise to 50 or so. Sorry if it offends you young'uns! <g> —Betty

Betty, I belong to a group that only has boys and girls in it. Some are in their 70's and 80's, some still in diapers. But we don't make much distinction about that… wmc – via Autopilot!

Age is a relative matter, anyway, Wayne. People older than I am are pretty old; anyone younger than I am is just a kid. —Betty

Betty – Up until his death at 70-something, Isaac Asimov referred to himself as being in his "late youth"…. . . . . JimDoc, on AutoPilot

Kiki Stockhammer is a woman that used to work for NewTek as the person they used to do most of there road shows, and convention demos. She is also seen in all of NewTek's Toaster Demo tapes, and is in several Toaster F/X. It is yet to be seen who or if she will be replaced. Forrest

Laura LongFellow… she was the first kiki… or rather the Digipaint-Digiview girl! I have in a box somewhere, an old Toaster InfoCard (before Lightwave was added…I might add…no 3D button anywhere!), where Laura was still the face on the screen… but as I was told, she got married, and left… .. and now, If this is true (some say it is, and some say it ain't) that a small crew of NewTeker's have left(Kiki one of them, so you guys say), who will take her place? Also… I have heard that NewTek and Jenson were headed down two different paths… what does that mean? Pro vs. Consumer … Platform vs. Platform… Bank Account vs. Bank Account? What ever it is, I just want my Screamer that my boss said I could have as soon as NewTek ships! Glen!!!!

We can only hope that it will all work out well for Newtek and also for the Amiga. And I feel sure they can find another pretty girl to do demonstrations. —Betty

Thanks for enlightnening me. I always wonder why its young girls who do demonstrations?

You really wonder, do you? Since most of the potential customers are young men, I think it quite understandable. —Betty

Laura Longfellow, is who your thinking of. She was the Woman in the DigiView/DigiPaint Ads, she also was known as Maxine Headroom on the NewTek Demo Reels, 1 and 3. She also was the Toaster Girl before she left and Kiki took over (this was before the Toaster shiped). She left NewTek several years ago. Forrest

I remember Laura, and the pictures, etc. I had just forgotten her last name. I remember also that she was quite popular with lots of Amiga users. —Betty

You are correct – just curious! That is her main function at NewTek – to create curiosity, then direct it to the wonderful things the Toaster can do. Many people will allude to her looks as part of who she is (booth bunny image and all that) but there is, one senses, a very keen mind and strong will behind those blond locks. Basically she is a product demonstator and public relations icon for the toaster. I don't know what her official title is. BUt NewTek has always seemed to have had a personality associated with its main products. Like with the DigiView it was Laura Longfellow. (One is never sure if these are psuedonyms…) wmc – via Autopilot!

Wayne, They aren't psuedonyms….Laura Longfellow is Laura's real name and Kiki (Kristine) Stockhammer is Kiki's real name. JG

I always wondered. The names were so dramatic and sorta 1930's Hollywood Studio-ish… wmc – via Autopilot!
