I didn't read your original question, but it seems that you are looking for a royalty free dos extender. Watcom C/C++32 comes with one. It is a version of the Rational Systems DOS4G/W extender that supports virtual memory but is limited to 32 megs. Rational will sell you the 10 license version of the pro version of their dos extender (the pro version supports up to 4GB of virtual memory) for $150. Another $150 gets you the ulimited license version.

Bailey, Thanks for your input. I'm trying to determine if the Rationale dos extender will work with the autodesk C flic routines. I didn't know that about the additional costing on the Rationale for the pro model. It doesn't seem too unreasonable. Thanks. Joe

Joseph, I've been using Watcom C/C++32 and the Rational extender that came with it with Autodesk fliclib with no problems. Bailey
