No, I haven't gotten back to him yet. Maybe this weekend. I'm going to
suggest QEMM to him, as was suggested here. Other than more RAM, I don't know
what he can do. Doesn't 3DS make virtual memory from the drive, or is that moot
in this case? Thanks for your reply.

That's true, but with only 4 megs, he'll be swapping to disk before his first
file is even loaded, making doing anything pretty impractical.
