If you are worried about rights, the question to ask is whether you had rights to use that background. Where did it come from when you say "the background was already there"? Did you mean from our CD ROM that came with the program? Is it a picture you took or scanned and then enhanced the foreground? Be more specific about where the backgroung image originated. On the forum, we generally try to leave the issue of who has the rights to an image up to the individual contributor. Only if there is a blantant misuse of someones copyrighted image or we get a specific complaint from someone will we even consider this an issue. For our purposes here, as long as you are not trying to sell the image, defame the original image, or whatever, almost anything you upload will fall into the "fair use" category of copyright law. Bottom line, don't worry about what you uploaded too much (It sounds like you were afraid the copyright police were going storm your house in the middle of the night!) but tell us the specifics about where you got the image you are worried about and we will let you know whether you have used the image legaly and fairly. -Brian P.S. I will upload a txt document on Copyrights and CIS later today for those of you who are interested in this topic.
