I was wondering if there is anyway to do more sophisticated cutting and pasting in Animator Pro. The reason I ask is because I have drawings done with Adobe Illustrator that I then rasterize using Photoshop. The line quality is a zillion times better. I then import the rasterized EPS files into Animator Pro. My question is is there any way in Animator Pro to designate different shades of grey as different levels of transparency during cutting and pasting operations? As far as I know, there is a single color that can be transparent, and there is no varied levels of transparency. This is causing halos when I cut out a line from Photoshop and paste it onto a background. Thanks! D.B.

If you want to do cut-and-paste compositing (of still images), the best package, hands down, is Altamira Composer. (415/332-5801). AniPro is limited to 256 colors, so when you start trying to do transparency effects of multiple images, you quickly run out of practical palette. – Jack
