Hi,
I am currently leanring 3D Studio and would like to know what books are good. I
have 3D Studio Applied with a CD-Rom, both are very good.
I am an advanced person and don't need the basic stuff. There are two sets I am
intersted in:
Mastering 3D Studio
3D Studio Tips & Trick, 3 volumes
Anybody have comments on this? Please send via mail, thanx!

I got the 3 Tips & Tricks volumes, if you're interested I'll sell them to you.
They are:
Shaping and Lofting
Morphing and Animation
Glass and Reflection
All include a disk. If you want'em make an offer …
Jack
Yep, I want them, BUT problem is: I am in germany, you do not accept
Mastercard, do you <g>.

PMJI, but this could get very interesting between our two names …
<g>
Greetings from Wisconsin.

Hi,
Todd Wiedemann, I smiled when I saw your name <g>. Do you have german
ancestors? I live in germany…
Teut
Teut –
You bet I have German ancestors … even a beer with my last name on
it here in the states. <g> Where are you located in Germany? I _believe_
that my ancestory is from the "south side" of the country.
Just to keep this "forum happy", what are you using 3DS for? I am
creating architectural fly-arounds and walk throughs for the building
industry.
Talk to you soon …

Sorry to interupt, but believe it or not, I've been looking for
the beer that carries your namesake for some time. It holds some
nostalgic memories of college for me and some friends of mine. Maybe
it just isn't marketed in this area anymore (KC). Oh, the hangovers!
Harley,
I believe that the Weideman's beer you are seeking is (was ? ) being brewed in
Cincinnati…famous for its old German brewing companies like Weideman's,
Hudephol, Burger, Schoenling, etc. At least I think they are all Cincy beers. I
drank enough of them when I was in high school in Kettering (Dayton).

I _think_ I can still get it up here … Have a case displayed proudly
near my render stations.
If you want, I could try and get you some. E-mail me if you do.

Cool! Let me know what it goes for up there. When I was in college,
(mid-80's, University of Kansas) it went for as little as $2.89 a
twelve-pack. Tasted better than Bud (at least we thought so).
Harley –
Goin' shopping this weekend … I'll go to my favourite emporium and
look for some for you. I'm not much (at all) of a beer drinker, so
one case has been enough for me. <g> Now if I can only find someone
with the last name "Absolut" …
|-\\/
Todd,
Thanks! (I think) If you bump into Absolut, or Stolichnaya, let me know.
HH
Todd,
I lived in Bavaria for 10 years, now I am in "Baden Wurtenberg", south of
Stuttgart. Which part your ancestors came from?
I use 3D Studio for Games. We need animations for a Science Fiction Role
Playing Game and I am currently modelling some objects we need.
My biggest problem is that the anims will run in lo-res (320×200 in 256 colors)
and the textures must be changed in order to look good in that res.

Servus Teut. Ich bin aus Muenchen, aber wohne seit 1975 in die U.S.
(San Francisco). Mein Deutsch is jetzt nicht mehr so guht, aber
macht spass manchmal auf Deutsh zu quaetschen <g>.
John Tissavary (La Luna cie)
Servus! Was verschlaegt einen vom schoenen Muenchen nach USA? Tell me more…
Teut
I moved here with my parents in '75 (I was 12 years old). I've always
missed Europe, and would love to have moved back. But I don't care
for the way things are going there right now. I was in BRD and
Schweitz earlier last year, and the mood seemed very tense
everywhere. The funloving European attitude had all but vanished
=-(.
I am, however, planning on doing buisness in Germany, Switzerland and other
German speaking countries in Europe, so I'll be coming over sometime soon.
Maybe by late spring or summer.
Tschuess!
John Tissavary (La Luna cie)
What buisiness do you do?
Actually the european happines didn't vanish, its just that recession hit
europe later than the US, but will (hopefully) go away as soon as there.
We had a fabulous winter in the last weeks, so skiing is pretty popular at the
moment as are car accidents (had my third withing three month, <g>)
Teut
Sorry to hear about your car accidents. I'm in the animation
buisness, my company is La Luna cie. I heard skiing is great this
year. I may go to Zermatt in April if I can get some time and $$$.
Todd-
PMJI, but where in WI? I'm currently in Neenah/Menasha moving to Milwaukee May
1.
Dave Mennenoh
I'm here in good ol' Milwaukee … give me a call and lets get
together. 414.351.2800 (wk: 8-6 CST) 414.255.8111 (hm: any other
time <g>) Which side of town will you be living/working on? I live on
the NW side (Menomonee Falls) and work on the east side. Talk to you
soon …
