Most of my software is pd, with a bit of shareware, and only a few commercial
packages. But even with pd stuff – everyone seems to have extras for the WB.
However, there were a number of things to add to Workbench for AREXX, more for
ConMan, and it makes WordPerfect lots easier if the libraries are added to the
regular libs: directory, etc., etc., etc. If you don't want to reboot with
every program (a sure kill for multitasking), then you have to copy lots of
things to the Workbench.

Believe me – there are other things in life besides hard disks. Besides, they
seem to give people more misery than pleasure. You've read this message base!
More complaints about hard disks than about anything else. 😉

Of course if ARP were supported by more developers then you would be able to
get more stuff on a single workbench disk. Actually Arexx can help a little
there too. Ie. you can use Arexx scripts to take care of complex problems
associated with assignments, needed disks etc. Thus you could still have the
commands available to run all of the programs that you want to run exist on the
workbench disk as ARexx scripts and let the scripts take care of all of the
'remembering' and asking for disks. 73, bill
