Here,s my question? Why dosen't CBM have a commercial like this- Angry mother enters house drops groceries, marches upstairs yelling "Kenny, how many times have I told you stop playing video games, and to do your school work(Arcade Game heard from upstairs room). CloseUp Shot..father and son looking at each other with CD32 controlpads in there hands. Kenny pushes button on controlpad, bedroom door swings open with angry mother in the doorway. Father turns to her with a smile, "Honey, this is the AMIGA CD32 we're studying history now… (Snapshots of all the educational software history, math, science etc… while father becomes salesman for CD32 to his wife). Mother leaves room heading downstairs, praising the AMIGA CD32 along the way. CloseUp Shot..Kenny pushes button on controlpad. Father and son continue playing a football game on the CD32.(The GRAPHICS must be excellent… for this is the hook of the commercial…everyone seeing it must say I- want that game…) END of commercial- ….CD32….FROM THE MIND OF THE AMIGA… That's one long question, Huh???

Charles.. Neat advertisement? However, you know the answer to the question already don't you? 🙂 When playing 20 questions with Commodore you don't want to create questions that can have answers like this: "We like the concept and may consider that one for the future". 🙂 I added it to the list though. :=)

How about: What could Commodore have done differently with Marketing AND Engineering of the Amiga (from the Amiga 1000 days to the present) so that they wouldn't be in the mess they are in now? (it would be interesting to find out how they believe they screwed up!)

You are assuming that they think that they screwed up… I wonder. Also, I doubt very much that they are too concerned with 'what could have been'… what's important to the people running C= is what _will_ be. <g> Of course, I'd love to know just what the original marketing plans were and get some of the inside scoop on what happened… but I have a feeling we'll have to wait for someone who used to be on the inside at a high level to write a book or something.

Unless they acknowledge some errors of the past then they won't ever learn from the past and will continue to make blunders in the future! If "what will be" becomes history repeating itself then we are on a fast sinking ship! later!

From our narrow perspective of the company (Amiga user's) it sure does seem that way most of the time.
