AdPro Tutorial Problem

I recently purchased the upgrade of my AdPro 2.3 to AdPro 2.5 (SN
02-192-734-7410). I have been attempting to execute the tutorials
described in Chapter 4. I have not been able to get Lesson 6: FRED: Batch
image Processing (pp. 67-68) to work. I took a series of 24 bit iff
images into FRED and rearranged them as described in 4.6.2 (page 67). No
problems were encountered in setting up the PingPongImages.seq. I then
selected process and added the scripts listed under 4.6.3. When I select
Process to begin processing the sequence, I obtain a series of requestors
which I answer as stated in Item 5 of 4.6.3. However, after these
questions are answered, I receive a dialog box telling me that FRED failed
on the ScaleToSize.fred script. It does not tell me why it failed, just
that it failed! I have spent several hours trying to solve this problem
without success. Can you offer any suggestions?

The best I can off er right now is to re-examine the tutorial myself
and see if I can force it to give the error you got. There are quite
a few possibilities that could cause this (or any other script to
fail) and I will have to narrow it down some (spaces in file names,
not enough memory, etc.)
I would truly appreciate your efforts in examining this tutorial. I
spent several hours without success attempting to execute the
tutorial. A bit of further info: (1) I had no spaces in the image
file names. I am running AdPro 2.5 on an A4000 with 18 MB of
memory. I have AdPro's MAXMEM set to 12 MB so there should be plenty
of memory. Frankly, I suspect a problem with the FRED Scale to Size
script since all the pre-scripts run and ask the necessary questions,
but the Scale to Size script fails almost immediately.
If will give the tutorial a run through again although I have been
through that tutorial so many times I can do it in my sleep :-). Ill
let you know what I finf

How about uploading the Tutorial.lha here. I tried to install my 2.5
today and received a bad block error on that disk. p.s. Did you use
to work at ICD? If so, congrats on a move to a great company!
John, I'm glad I'm not alone, I too received a bad block error on my
tutorial disk today. I'm just going to send it in for a new one.
I encourage anyone that has got a bad disk in their ASDG software
packages to contact us to get replacements. We want to make sure that
every one of our customers has fully operational software.
Chris, could you also E-mail me the Tutorial file? That would save me
the hassel of shipping it by wail and waiting for it, don't know why
I didn't think to ask this myself,

If you want, I can E-Mail you the tutorial.lha file, that would be no
problem. Yes, I did use to work at ICD (technical support and wrote
all their new manuals).
E-Mailing the file would be fine with me if that is an acceptable
alternative for you. Thanks for your attention to this matter.
