Hey All! Here's the story – I ordered some back issues of Video Toaster User and Lightwave Pro about a month and a half ago. A few weeks later I got them. Not a very interesting story so far, is it? But today, I got them again! I called Avid and they said just to keep the duplicates. The magazines are the April/May, June/July and August/September 1992 issues of Video Toaster User (before they went glossy) and December 1993 (Vol 1 Issue Number 2) issue of Lightwave Pro. What do you care? What am I wasting your expensive time on CIS reading this garbage? Because I don't need them, the first person who replies to this message – from anywhere – will get these magazines gratis (that free for you non-French speakers).

Aloha Jerry. I hath Broken down and taped some footage of myself rambling on about nothing in particualar and some new Animations. I'll be sending this tape to thee in a few days. I just want to finish the current 5 second anim I'm working on to include on the tape. The quality of this submission will probably be less than the last one since I'm "RECYCLING" a a VHS tape since it's such a short lenght I can't see spending $10 on a SVHS tape for less than 3 minutes running time.

Peter, I'll DEFINITELY look forward to the footage of YOU! Jerry

Why are you so looking forward to footage of moi? I didn't go bonkers while filming and Glob on Tons of Prosthetics. Just me sitting in my Computer chair(reclining Queen Ann) chatting about naught. I just got a package in the mail that I haven't opened yet but methinks it's a "JOB PROPOSAL" from a gent I met thru the "Chronic Rift" named Dan Persons. Dan's a writer for Cinefantastique. He didn't give many details in his msg to me on Genie other than mentioning a Logo. Hmmmmmmmmm Not another Flying LOGO anim I hope hehehehehehehehe

Reading your insane posts and seeing your video work has provoked some pretty powerful mental imagery as to what you must look like, thus my eagerness is to see how close I've come to the real thing… Jerry

I'm just sittin' here smiling, Peter… Seriously, 'tho, good luck on the job. Hey, maybe it'll be a swimming logo! Nate, Emerald Video. I am a Nate, ergo I Animate.

I read the info and Dan included Storyboards. it's a Quickie 10 second anim that sounds like an interesting idea. Now to see what use it is for. If for Chronic Rift or for a Commercial production. I have a feeling it's filler for their Sci Fi Awards show.

Tony, Once, my dear wife said she was never going to talk to me again. My reply was 'Promises, promises!' Her response to that: WHAP! BOOM! POW!… It was just like an old Batman episode! <g> Looking forward to the tape… Jerry

Any New Romulan Activity? Any New ED-209 footage??? My Cornea's grow bored awaiting the new Amiga Gang II video's release. Tho they did perk up a bit after seeing the new Listerine Commercial. Whoever had the idea to use 3D animation for their commercials should be applauded!!!!

>Any New Romulan Activity? Any New ED-209 footage??? Unfortunately, I haven't had time to play around, as I'd like, since I have been trying to sell myself as a Freelancer and there has been TONS and TONS of work at my REAL job. I saw the New Listerine commercial the other day and was very impressed. The shadows(of the liquid) and the tree bark looked very good. Makes me sick when I look at the Listerine I did, of course I had limited ram at the time.

I am begining to LOVE watching Commercials. Too bad more companies don't start getting into 3D animated Ad's. Robin Hood Von Listerine is Awesome!!! Good Luck Freelancing, I've got a bloke I work with who keeps trying to get me to help him out doing Wedding Videos

>Too bad more companies don't start getting into 3D animated Ad's. They WILL after seeing what `I' can do. :^) >Robin Hood Von Listerine is Awesome!!! I agree, they have REALLY gotten the hang of it. I can only expect it to get better. <<< Tony D. Tracer >>> (Any render time >0 needs acceleration.)

Good Luck with yer Animated Ads. One thing, I suggest you contact your Cable Carrier. They may be able to refer clients to you. or Take an AD on the Cable channel of your choice advertising your capabilities. There's alot of companies that will advertise on Cable but can't afford Network TV.
