#flicker fixer

I have an amiga 2000 and am in the process of purchasing a "flicker fixer" but
am not sure which monitor to buy to go with it. Does anyone have a flicker
fixer board installed, if so which monitor are you using? I would like the
smallest border possible. I'm looking at a Taxa 770 plus…./e

I have a Samsung (brand name IMtec), attached to my flickerFixer. It gives me
a border about 1/2" on each side, and about 3/8" top and bottom, with a 704*470
screen.

I've got the ImTec also. I adjusted the vertical height and have no
perceptable border on top and bottom.

Haven't had mine open yet, so I can't adjust it properly. Adjusting the
height to give no border messes up the aspect ratio, since the horizontal
remains the same.

I didn't open mine up either, but with the various controls on the back I was
able to increase vertical height and horizontal width and keep the aspect
ration looking just fine.
I have heard Peter Silverstone, who design FF, recommend the Taxan because of
the small border. If you will be doing some video work as well the Mitsubishi
Diamondscan has NTSC inputs as well as analog RGB and VGA. I use the Zenith
ZCM-1490 (flat screen, VGA only). You have to see this display to believe it.

monitors today and believe that I will get the Taxan. I'll post a report after

Just got my FF up and running with the Zenith. I definitely second your
comments on color! One minor problem however. When I run any bootable disks,
the display will not center hoizontally. When I adjust the monitor adjustment
screw as far as it will go, the display still has twice as much border on the
left as on the right. I do nothave this problem with workbench or other things
(Access! for instance) which run from workbench. Did you have this proble

Running from bootable disks means that your Preferences settings will be
taken from the disk you booted from. If the disk is not a protected game, you
should be able to use Preferences to center the screen.

Yes, I have had a FlickerFixer since shortly after they came out. I am using
the Thompson 4375M monitor. The image quality is pretty good but does not
completely fill the screen. I have about a 1/2 inch at the top and a 1/4 inch
elsewhere (max size that I have been able to obtain). That is quite a bit
better than the two NEC's that I tried however.
