#Best SVHS 4 single frame
12 messages in this thread
Thanks for the info. I've had the same good results with Maxell, and also find
it to be the least expensive!
>>Maxell ST-31BQ<<
It is the least expensive of the professional grade tapes I've tried, too, and
the best IMHO.

John –
Do you buy your Maxell tapes in bulk, through the mail or whatever, or one at a
time at the corner store?
I'd be interested in knowing where you order yours (if you do), since I'm just
beginning to produce a large enough volume of animations to warrant having a
box of tapes lying around.
Thanks, Mathew
I buy them from a local pro video and film shop here in San Francisco called
Adolph Gasser. They carry that sort of thing. My guess is getting it from B&H
in NYC, or Columbia in Chicago. There are probably good "media only" vendors,
too. I'd check in A/V Video (?) magazine.

I order all my tapes from the "Tape Company", they have always
corrected any problem with no questions asked and very fast. They
have 4 locations across the USA, if you are interested let know and I
will give the phone # for the closest one.
Their prices are:
Maxell Industrial/Certified S-VHS
ST-31BQ $ 7.67
ST-62BQ $ 8.47
ST-126BQ $ 8.98
ST-182BQ $18.01

Rick, I would be interested in a phone number for one near Michigan.
(Might want to just post them all, or you could have 50 or so requests!)

Hey! So what is it, what is the best SVHS for single frame video?
ZIP!, it's gone, If it's a secret, just E-Mail me. Thanks.
I think we decided upon Maxel ST-31BQ (31 being the length in
minutes.), as per the recommendation of John Tissavary (71054,15) and
a few others.

Just make sure you've got a solid EOF marker, or you'll get a tape
read error #03! Gawd, come to think of it… what tape was _my_
brain on…
