Jim, Just downloaded Star.arc, anxious to trash Online! as soon as possible. Encountered a couple of problems. First, the program crashed a couple of times when I didn't have the ST.stuff directory set up. I think it happened again later, but don't have any helpful details (I'll get a record of exactly what caused it if if recurrs). But the more important and repeatable problem: The phone directory appears to get saved in star.dir (the numbers are in there) but does not get reloaded when starterm is restarted. I restarted starterm from workbench on the same disk as the system. I've tried it several times with the same result. What I save is in the file, but doesn't come back when the program is restarted. Thanks for any help. -Rod

Rod, that was a silly bug we kinda never noticed. The file 'Star.dir' is written to the root directory. but when starterm loads, it looks for 'star.dir' in 'ST.Stuff' directory. To correct this until I post a new revision is to copy the file into the 'ST.Stuff' directory. that will fix all problems. Also, Always close the wimp window before dialing from the Dial requester. Sigh, these things come up when a program gets more exposure. Jim
