Fred, Any reports on diskperfa results? 'Twould be a great help to me, cuz I have the Microbiotics (sic) Slap-on, but not the SCSI module. Its good news that I don't have to buy another box, tho'! –Gabe

I ran diskperfa on my disk. I have an Amiga 1000 with a 68010 CPU, 1.5 MB of RAM. My disk is a Seagate ST-225N. I have two partitions: a big one with FFS (Fast File System) and little one with the old file system. I ran it with MicroBotics' "fast mode" turned on (fast) an off (slow). The numbers varied on different test runs with the same disk, but here's a typical set: Old FS Old FS FFS FFS Slow Fast Slow Fast File creations 5 6 4 12 File deletions 14 20 12 37 Directory scan 44 48 71 102 Seek+read 35 59 37 65 Read 512 17593 30481 31207 58254 Read 4096 19562 35424 40329 77101 Read 8192 19710 35910 40329 90394 Read 32768 19710 34952 41610 104857 Write 512 13306 21140 22215 22795 Write 4096 18859 21664 22028 59578 Write 8192 19710 21664 21664 67216 Write 32768 20010 21664 22215 70849 Hope this is of some help.
