Transactor is so far superior to Amazing it's…. amazing! Amazing is trying very hard to fit in the "middle", while Transactor is unreservedly "techie". For me, it's the one, period. –Ben–

I believe that was Amazing's goal from the beginning — the magazine to appeal to the 'average' Amiga owner. As such, they do a very good job.

I think they do an _ok_ jop – I see very strong tendacies lately where they are after the _new_ amiga owner – and that does a lot of damage to the _average_ amiga owner segment. How many times do YOU need to be instructed on how to use the LIST command? But they certainly bury Amiga World. Too bad. I've talked to Guy Wright, and he's nobodys "average" amiga owner. He's insightful, intellegent, even brilliant. Unfortunatly, Amiga World is not. Transactor, now – ahhhhhhhhh! –Ben–

My favorite of all is TransAmi. Someone needs to cater to the novice, if that's Amazing, so be it — AmigaWorld would be more logical since that seems to be their strong point. AmigaWorld's 'factual' articles often aren't, and they don't cater to the 'techie' crowd. They started out as a 'fluff' mag — I think they've only graduated to 'puff'.

I think Amazing is it. Amigaworld, while it is pretty (for people like Henry that have a art minor) and does have Zeitgiest, which is usually pretty funny… isn't worth the paper it's printed on, at least, not yet. To me <<– Disclaimer <<–. I agree with you. –Ben–
