Oh absolutely, there's more than one way… <harumph… KC and Oz are sitting here on the bed eyeing me strangely… no, I WASN'T going to say "to skin a cat!" Sheesh.> The Amiga approach (CD-anywhere-you-want) is orthogonal (there's that word again) and completely intuitive. The PC approach (CD-to-directories-but-log-to-devices) is much less obvious. I have to admit I said "Blech!" the first time I noodled out why CD A:\SCR kept returning C: on a PC. All things considered I'm MUCH rather have it the Ami way. But once you get used to the PC approach, there ARE quite a few circumstances for which it is appropriate and helpful. Rick
