I'm looking for an implementation of 'tar' for the system tape device under
WinNT. Has anyone seen such a thing?
I use my Exabyte as a backup unit with the system Backup program, but I'd love
to access other Unix tar tapes I have under WinNT.

I've found a TAR command for NT, which operates on disk files. I haven't yat
run into anything that operates the tape, except the NT backup software.
