#R.T FLC2TAPE

Greetings from the Summer side of the planet.
I'm having difficulty dumping to tape real time.
I purchased a TARGA 32 and a S-VHS deck. I though the process
would go something like this:
Step1 Render my flc
Step2 Create a RAM Drive and load flc
Step3 Play the flc from the ram drive and hit the record
button on the VCR??….Easy
I thought the TARGA would just grab the computer monitor
signal and convert & output it at PAL (s-VHS) mode. But
apparently I need a driver of some description..Any ideas..???
ThanX GH

Are you using a one-monitor or a two monitor system? I guess that from the way
you worded your message, it is a one-monitor system.
I'd hook up the VCR to the Targa's SVHS output, and then have a TV set hooked
up to the VCR. This way you can see what is happening.
Now load AniPlay, and set ScreenSize to the Targa board. All images and work
you do will now be seen on the TV set. Load up your flic and record it!

Hi Greg,
I purchased a S-VHS TV as the other monitor (it was cheaper than buying
dedicated sony monitor)..I suspose it's a two monitor system?
It must be AniPro 1.3 with Targa drivers? – yes
Can you do without AniPro – from 3ds with pass thru?
ThanX for info Greg
Try AAPLAYHI (should be avail on the forum as AAPLAYHI.ZIP) and the AniPro
drivers that came with your TARGA+ 32. I'm using it with mine in MODE 17
(640x480x16) to tape FLC's and its working fine. I use a two monitor setup
with my TARGA monitor being a TV/Mon like yours. Since my finals are VHS tapes
the TV is actually a better (more pesimistic) "proof" of my TARGA image than a
higher qual monitor would be.
Garry:
Yes, that counts as a two monitor system, I guess! <g>
I don't think that 3DS will do that internally, but I'm not positive. AniPro
or AAPLAYHI do it so well that I never looked into it myself.
