Hi all. This note is to say that a file called 3ideas.zip should be appearing on in LIB9 soon. It is a series of four PRJ. Files I created for Gary Hargraves at his request. They cover the following… 1/ How to create shafts of light form text 2/ How to link objects on a path to create a WORM/CHASER type effect. (Versions 1&2) 3/ How to loft an animated twist into objects. (like a washing machine action). Feel free to browse. Glenn M

Thanks Glenn! Note that I finally saw your Australian Telecom spot last night, while transfering stuff over for our NAB reel… WHOA! Now I understand where those $350,000 for it went… it's INCREDIBLE. It'll blow the folks at NAB away.

Glad to hear you liked it. (Telecom that is <g>) GM.

I didn't "like" it… I LOVED IT. If the job was given to Pixar, I don't think they could've done as good as you did. The creativity and hard work in that piece is mind-boggling. (I especially like the subtly-mixed-in female moaning in the music… pretty hot for a multi-billion-dollar telecommunications company.) The kids at NAB are going to sh*t when they see that you can do this kind of stuff with a PC. I personally wouldn't have believed it if you'd shown it to me two years ago. If you could do a shot-by-shot synopsis analysis of the way you put together that ad, it would be priceless. How can I persuade you? – G

>>The creativity and hard work in that piece is mind-boggling. Sounds like required viewing – is this on Austrailian TV only? How can I get a lookie-loo short of going to NAB? Will there be a NAB reel available? Or can I mail a video tape and a return-paid envelope somewhere? Thanks, Jim

It's for Australian Telecom, so I'm sure it only airs in OZ. I've got no idea if/how Autodesk might distribute it after NAB… all I do is put these things together. – G

– G I was wondering if there is any way of getting an SVHS dub of the NAB real. Unfortunately I will not be able to make NAB. SSH –Graphic Realities–

Scott, I don't know what Autodesk will be doing with that reel, but if you bug your dealer about it, they could bug their rep, and so on, and so on, etc.

Let me know if you're successful at getting a copy of it – I'll let you know if I am. That way if just one of us can get it, we can both get a look at it.
